Writing a book is a long game, and small, steady days get you there. The Milestones tab in the Studio (“the shape of your year.”) shows your writing life so you can see it and celebrate it.

Your stats at a glance

Use the period dropdown to choose a window: 1 Week, 1 Month, 3 Months, 6 Months, or 1 Year. The stat cards update to match:
  • Total: words written in the window
  • Daily Average
  • Active Days
  • Current Streak, with your best streak alongside it
  • Best Day
A Writing Activity chart shows your last 30 days, and an activity heatmap lays out your whole year at a glance.

Set writing goals

Click Set Goals to choose the writing days of the week that fit your life, and a monthly word-count goal. Quarkle works out your daily and weekly targets for you, so you always know what “on track” looks like.

Pick your writing days and a monthly goal. Quarkle calculates the daily and weekly targets.

Challenges & projects

  • Writing Challenges let you join or leave time-boxed challenges whenever you like.
  • Current Projects shows a per-manuscript word-count goal and how far along you are.
Streaks reward showing up, not word-count heroics. A few hundred words on a writing day keeps the chain alive.
