The Editor is where the writing happens. It has three areas: quick actions on the left, your manuscript in the middle, and Quarkle’s AI panel on the right.

Overview

The Quarkle editor with its left rail, manuscript, and Creative Companion panels

The three-panel editor.

Left rail

Your quick actions:

Center: your manuscript

The writing surface itself, with the chapter title, the formatting toolbar, and a live word count. A status bar along the bottom shows your save status and when the next auto-checkpoint will be taken. The pink quill at the bottom-right opens Ghostwriter, a one-press way to continue the chapter in your voice without going through Chat. Your work autosaves; press ⌘/Ctrl+S to save on demand.

Right: the Creative Companion

Quarkle’s AI panel, with four tabs:

Chat

Quarkle Chat. Brainstorm and talk through your book.

Review

The Review Room. Margin comments from AI reviewers.

Atlas

The Story Atlas, your living record of characters and world.

Report

Reports. A bird’s-eye read of a chapter or book.
On narrow screens like phones and tablets, the manuscript and the Creative Companion swap places with a toggle, so you can focus on one at a time.
