Your writing is never training data
Quarkle does not train on your writing. We also ensure our AI providers cannot train on your data. It’s used only to answer your request in the moment, then it’s done its job. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t want to. We’d rather earn your subscription with a better product. What’s private, and what isn’t
By default, a manuscript is private to you. It becomes visible to others only when you choose to:- Invite a collaborator. They get read-only access. See Sharing.
- Turn on a public reading link. Anyone with the URL can read it, until you turn it off.
How mature content is handled
Quarkle supports serious fiction, including dark and mature themes. To keep the default experience appropriate while still letting adult authors write freely, each Chat message you send is first checked by a dedicated content-safety model against a clear policy.- For most requests, nothing changes. Your message goes straight through.
- If a request involves mature or explicit content and you’re on Basic, Quarkle will point you toward Pro’s Open Expression mode rather than filtering silently.
- If you’re a Pro user with Open Expression enabled, eligible requests are routed to an unfiltered model built for that content.
Open Expression is a Pro feature. You enable it from your Settings → Preferences. See Manage your account.
Deleting your data
You’re in control of removing your data, too.- Delete a manuscript from its ”…” menu in the Studio. This can’t be undone.
- Delete your account from Settings → Danger → Delete Account (you type
delete my accountto confirm). This immediately and permanently wipes your data from our servers. It cannot be recovered. See Manage your account.
