One **Run review** runs many AI editors at once. Here's how the [Review Room](/ai/review-room) turns that into a clean set of comments instead of a noisy pile of overlapping notes. The Review Room ## Many editors, in tiers Each reviewer you have switched on is its own editor with its own brief. They're organised into **tiers**, one per editing job. **Copy → Line → Developmental → Continuity → your Custom reviewers** Within a tier, the editors are **junior editors**, and they read the chapter **in parallel**. The grammar editor, the clarity editor, and the redundancy editor all read at the same time, each returning specific, structured notes: a line, a problem, a suggested rewrite, and the reasoning. ## The senior editor pass Multiple editors often flag the same sentence. Quarkle handles this the way a real editorial team does, with a **senior editor** for each tier. After the junior editors finish, the senior editor reads their notes together, **merges duplicates, drops the weak ones, and keeps the sharpest version** of each point. That's what actually reaches your margin. ## Why comments arrive in waves The chapter is split into manageable chunks and the tiers are released in order, so comments **stream in** as each tier completes rather than all at once. Higher tiers wait for the lower ones. Any line that's already been commented on is skipped, so a Line note won't pile onto a sentence a Copy editor already flagged.
