# The Studio

> Your home base. Find your manuscripts, start a new one, and track your writing life.

The Studio is where you land after signing in. The header simply reads **the studio.**, and it holds everything you're working on. There are two tabs: **Library** and **Milestones**.

## Your Library

The **Library** is your shelf. At the top you'll find a **search** bar ("search your shelf…") and a **new manuscript** button to start something fresh. Your manuscripts appear as cards, sorted by the ones you touched most recently.

Each card shows:

* A **life-stage label** and **chapter count**. The life stage grows with your word count:

  | Stage          | Word count         |
  | -------------- | ------------------ |
  | **sketch**     | under 500 words    |
  | **draft**      | under 7,500 words  |
  | **novella**    | under 40,000 words |
  | **manuscript** | under 90,000 words |
  | **tome**       | 90,000+ words      |

* The **title**, and a line reading "updated {time} · {N} words"

* A short **preview snippet** of the writing

* An **open** action to jump straight into the Editor

Manuscripts that someone has shared with you carry a **shared** ribbon.

## The "…" menu

Every card has a **"…"** menu with two options:

* **book statistics**: total words, chapters, and the date you created it
* **delete manuscript**: asks you to confirm first
