# The Creative Companion

> Quarkle's AI panel: Chat, Review, Reports, the Story Atlas, and the Drawing Room, all working from the same manuscript.

The **Creative Companion** is the panel on the right side of the Editor. It's Quarkle's AI. Everything in it reads the *same* manuscript you are: your chapters, your characters, your world. Nothing here writes your book for you. It thinks alongside you, questions you, and hands back sharper prose that's still yours.

## Overview

The Companion has five tabs.

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Chat" icon="comments" href="/ai/quarkle-chat">
    **Quarkle Chat.** Think alongside your manuscript. Brainstorm, ask questions, and get inline edit suggestions from an agent that has read your book.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Review" icon="user-pen" href="/ai/review-room">
    **The Review Room.** Read your chapter through sharper eyes. A room of AI editors leaves sentence-level comments, each with a suggested rewrite.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Atlas" icon="book-atlas" href="/ai/story-atlas">
    **The Story Atlas.** Your characters, world, and chapter summaries, kept up to date as you write.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Report" icon="chart-line" href="/ai/reports">
    **Reports.** A structured editorial dossier on a chapter or the whole book: a verdict, what's working, and a revision plan.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Art" icon="image" href="/ai/drawing-room">
    **The Drawing Room.** Create cover art, character portraits, and scenes from your manuscript and Story Atlas.
  </Card>
</Columns>

## How the pieces fit together

Each tab does a different job, and they feed one another.

* **Chat** is a conversation. You ask. Quarkle reads the relevant chapters and notes, then answers. It can propose concrete edits you accept inline.
* **The Review Room** is a one-shot pass over the *current chapter*. Many editors read it at once and leave comments in the margin.
* **The Story Atlas** is the memory that makes both smarter. As you write, Quarkle keeps notes on your characters and world so Chat and the Review Room understand who's who.
* **Reports** zoom out for the big picture.
* **The Drawing Room** turns the book and its Atlas into cover art, portraits, and scenes you direct.

<Tip>
  The more your manuscript grows, the more useful the Companion becomes. The [Story Atlas](/ai/story-atlas) gives every other feature the context it needs. It's worth a look at how that works [under the hood](/under-the-hood/overview).
</Tip>

<Note>
  Some features are **Pro**: model selection in Chat, the full Story Atlas, custom reviewers, and Open Expression. See [Plans & pricing](/account/plans).
